We are often asked what it is that makes Dobson
Lyles "Bridge to the Future" methodology unique.
At the heart of our philosophy is the conviction that everyone
has specific strengths and that each and every individual has a
set of interests, behaviours and needs (strengths) that are appropriate
to them and to them only.
Anyone who understands and applies their unique strengths can never
be called be a “failure”. Of course, not everyone can
be a superstar, supermodel or rocket scientist. Indeed, if those
were the only standards worth attaining, 99.9 percent of the world’s
population could be called failures.
Discovering your strengths is vital. But it is equally important
to confront your weaknesses. Only when you are able to face up to
the fact that you can’t do everything, can you begin to focus
on the things you like to do and are good at.
Human beings are also largely defined by their interests. It is
your interests that determine how well you live, how satisfied and
fulfilled you are, and how you measure your self-worth. Put simply,
when a person knows their interests, they know who they are. To
neglect your fundamental interests is to invite frustration, burnout,
irritability, or perhaps worse.
Our Bridge to the Future programme can uniquely identify what your
interests are and look beyond “socialised behaviour”
to reveal the real person beneath the surface. Working through it
we can identify the behaviours that are the real you and the psychological
needs which distinguish you from every other person and allow you
to be yourself.
Dobson Lyle believes that the only true criterion for success is
whether or not you succeed in becoming the person that only you
can be. Our mission is to help you to achieve this success.
